Bacardi Caribbean Spiced
It started as a family dream in Cuba, back in the 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardí Massó founded BACARDI. He bought a small distillery in Santiago de Cuba and this is where he radically changed the way rum was typically produced, making spirits that were smooth and light bodied. Today, BACARDI is an iconic worldwide brand with production sites across the globe, and with a wide and varied choice of tasty spirits.
Bacardi Caribbean Spiced is their first premium spiced aged spirit drink. Taking inspiration from her home in the Caribbean, surrounded by coconut trees, Bacardi rum blender Noidys Herrera has taken a unique and unwidely used part of the coconut to create this expression - the magic comes from the coconut sugar blossom. A blend of a light aged rum and a heavy aged rum, with bold smoky flavours of molasses, is used for the base and together are blended with the coconut blossom sugar, pineapple and coconut water. Once rested and then filltered, cinnamon and vanilla are also blended into the spirit before being rested again and filtered once more for clarity and colour.
The notes of caramelised pineapple and lightly toasted coconut are a delight for your palate, and the taste will transport you straight to the Caribbean.
Did you know? The Bat symbol used on the bottle, was inspired by the bats found hanging from the distillery beams. Traditionally they represent health, family unity and prosperity and locals would ask for 'el ron del murcielago' – the rum of the bat

Bacardi Caribbean Spiced can be sipped neat over ice or mixed with cola. We like it with Fever-Tree Distillers Cola, which was made specifically to mix with rum and whiskey.
For the cocktail lovers, this is perfect for a Caribbean Spiced Colada. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add 50ml Bacardi Caribbean Spiced, 50ml pineapple juice, 25ml coconut cream and a dash of cinammon syrup. Give it a good shake, strain into a glass with ice and add a wedge of pineapple to garnish. Delicious!
