The Bitter Truth

The story of the Bitter Truth began in 2006 when two bartenders (Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck) were visiting the London Bar show.

At the time it was hard to find bitters in Germany (as well as many other places). They had experience producing in the bars they worked in, and Stephan had a large collection of historical and hard to find bitters, some of which were no longer produced. So they had the basis to work from, and set about creating!

It was in August 2006 that the first products were released - Orange and Old Time Bitters, shortly after many more followed. They were soon followed by a range of delicious liqueurs and spirits.
