Himbrimi Gins

Himbrimi Gin

It was five years ago when Icelandic artist Óskar Ericsson decided to create a gin. The reason for this was he wanted the perfect fishing companion. Something to take along on fishing trips in the Icelandic wilderness.

He was inspired by the scents of herbs which grow along the banks of the rivers he fished. The gin became an ode to the river and was named after the common loon (Himbrimi), a bird which is well known to all Icelandic fishermen.

Óskar picks the herbs himself every summer and numbers every bottle by hand, in this way he ensures the level of quality matches what he would expect.
