The history of Brouwerij Verhofstede dates back to 1885, and Stefanie De Jaegher (who later married Julien Verhofstede). Initially Beer was brewed, but in the 1960's a move into spirits occured. Now with over 130 years of experience, and four generations of the same family they continue to create a range of delicious drinks.
In creating their dark brown, velvety Mokka liqueur, Brouwerij Verhofstede use freshly ground coffee beans. To ensure a full coffee flavour throughout the enjoyment of this drink the coffee is ground right before mixing. Once combined with just the right amount of sugar, the drink is complete - giving a perfect balance between bitter and sweet.
