Cape Fynbos Gin

The ethos behind Cape Fynbos gin is simple. Sustainable, small batch, and quality. They distilled their gins four times in copper stills, and produce in small batches. All under the direction of Christian Wilderer.

Enriched with premium juniper berries and 33 local, sustainably hand-picked botanicals from the group of fynbos vegetation for which the Cape region is world famous. Among them are Wild Dagga, Honeybush, Devil's Claw, Bushman's Ecstacy, Renosterbos, Cancer Bush, African Wormwood and African Potato.

These botanicals are carefully macerated in the alcoholic base before distillation. This is done to ensure the perfect binding of the herbal aromas and flavours. Once completed, they gradually mix with pure mountain spring water from the Franschhoek Mountains, which ensures a truly unique and delicious gin of the highest quality.

This consistent attention to detail throughout the process ensures a gin which has layers of herbal depth. There are deep and complex herbal aromas with earthy aromatic roots and bark, the refreshing zestiness from orange peel, and a touch of peppery spice. These all balance perfectly against the crisp bold juniper, delicate floral meadows, and wild honey.

Perfect Serve

We believe the flavours in this gin are a winning combination already, so we recommend a neutral tonic. In a large glass filled with ice cubes add 50ml of the gin, and gently pour over 150ml of tonic. (We liked this with Fentimans Premium Indian Tonic Water). Garnish simply with a slice of orange.
