Captain Morgan Spiced Gold
Whilst the original 'Captain Morgan' (a Welsh privateer, Sir Henry Morgan, who worked in the Caribbean) may not have made rum, his namesake is now known the world over.
Their Spiced Gold version is the flagship drink in the Captain Morgan range, and has long been seen 'sailing the seas'.
Whilst this is not 'technically' a rum (a rum needs to have an alcohol percentage of 37.5% or higher), it's made with a blend of Carribean rums which are flavoured with vanilla and cassia. This ensures it's link to the original Captain Morgan!
The result is sweet with a butteryness and gentle spice. The aroma is sweet and spicy, with nutmeg, a hint of pepper and enticing notes of vanilla cream and honey.
The flavour coats the mouth well, and imparts flavours from the spices, along with butteryness, molasses, and a touch of pepper. The finish doesn't overwhelm the palate and leaves spice and sweetness.

Perfect Serve
This is a delicious drink which is truly versatile and can be enjoyed in many ways. Try mixing with Thomas Henry's Mystic Mango for a refreshing and fruity drink.
For something classic, try a Cuba Libre (Rum & Cola). The classic mix here is 1 part rum to 2.5 parts cola. Mix in a large glass filled with ice and add a wedge of lime. Delicious!
