Isle of Raasay Gin 70cl
Dry, zesty, refreshing and smooth - a true taste of the Isle of Raasay
Description
Isle of Raasay Gin
Using local knowledge and experience in the form of local botanist Dr Stephen Bungard, the Raasay Distillery hand-picked only the finest Raasay juniper on the island.
To ensure the creation of the perfect flavour balance, they distil the juniper along with a select few botanicals in their copper malt spirit still (using a triple distilled raasay alcohol base - which is lighter than their typical new make alcohol base with a more concentrated blackcurrant note.
The full compliment of botanicals used are juniper, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, rhubarb root, angelica root, coriander seed, liquorice root, orris root and cubeb pepper
In the creation and presentation of their gin, the Raasay Distillery is inspired by Raasay’s impressive geological variety, it's unique water source, island shores and state-of-the-art distillery. It's a fusion of tradition with contemporary thinking, process, and design. As they say... "That’s the Raasay way"
As the name would suggest, every drop is lovingly distilled, bottled and shipped direct from the Isle of Raasay.
On the nose this is truly fresh and aromatic, juniper, sweet orange, candied lemon and hints of rhubarb all come through. On the palate the drink awakens with bursts of juniper, and richer rhubarb and citrus notes . The finish is dry and zesty, with all the flavours blending perfectly harmonising together for a refreshing finish.

Perfect Serve
We recommend this is enjoyed with a classic Indian Tonic (such as Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic). Take a large glass filled with ice, and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of tonic, stire gently and garnish with a slice of orange.
